PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die-cast casting method and a die-cast casting apparatus with which the enclosure of gas into molten metal is sufficiently restrained and a cast defect formed in a cast product can sufficiently be reduced. SOLUTION: At the upper part of an upper cavity 3a formed in an upper die 10, an upper space 5 is formed, and in the upper die 10, a movable core 8 positioned in the upper space 5 and vertically shiftable along the upper space 5, is set. Near the upper space 5 in an upper cavity 3, a molten metal detecting sensor 13 is set so that it can be detected to fill up a prescribed molten metal quantity in the cavity 3. Firstly, when the molten metal is filled up in the cavity 3, the movable core 8 is set in the upper space 5, and then, after starting the filling-up of the molten metal, when the molten metal detected with the molten metal detecting sensor 13, the movable die 8 is shifted upward with a cylinder 9.
