PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacker crane in which the height of a mast need not be increased even when the height of multi-stage shelves is increased. SOLUTION: The stacker crane has a track 2 installed along multi-stage shelves 30, a truck 4 traveling along the track 2, and an elevating/lowering unit 10 which is separably connected to the truck 4, self-elevated/lowered along the vertical direction of the multi-stage shelves 30, and capable of receiving/delivering articles to predetermined positions of the multi-stage shelves 30. The elevating/lowering unit 10 comprises a mast 11 separably connected to the truck 4 via a connection means 9, an elevating/lowering table 21 which is provided on the mast 11 in an elevating/lowering manner and in a positioning manner at the predetermined position, an elevating/lowering table fixing means 24 which is provided on the elevating/lowering table 21 to fix the elevating/lowering table 21 to the predetermined position in the vertical direction of the multi-stage shelves 30, and a mast fixing means 18 which is provided on the mast 11 to fix the mast 11 to the predetermined position in the vertical direction of the multi-stage shelves 30.
