PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cancer treatment drug which can inhibit extensive malignant lymphoma/leucocyte cells from proliferating or can kill them and to provide a method for killing cancer cells with the cancer treatment drug. SOLUTION: The cancer treatment drug contains as an active ingredient a gene construct pMO14Z-SHP1(10) made by linking a CMV promoter (1), an HA tag (2), an SHP1 gene (cDNA) (3), a polyA-addition signal (4), an SV40 promoter (5), a geneticin/G418 resistance gene (6), a polyA-addition signal (7), and an ampicillin resistance gene (8) to each other. The tumorousness of human myeloid leukemia cell strain K 562 cells into which the gene construct has been introduced is significantly eliminated, and the cells are more liable to undergo cell death by apoptosis.
