PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To get a road surface data which is measured on a real road and to simulate free cruising on the road surface. SOLUTION: A host computer 10 inputs a real measured data including a friction coefficient of the road surface and a road surface height corresponding to position coordinates from a memory part 11. Then, road profile data are generated by mapping the inputted real measured road data on a simulator map. Also, the friction coefficient of the road surface and the road surface height according to the position etc. of a car, driving information from an operation part 15 and a driving speed are inputted. Based on the inputted information and the road profile data, motion of the car is calculated and acceleration, angular speed, position coordinates and Euler angle are calculated. The acceleration and the angle speed are outputted to a rocking generation device 13 and motion of a cockpit is generated. The position coordinates and the Euler angle are outputted to a video generating device 12 and the corresponding real video data stored in the memory part 11 are displayed on a screen 14.
