<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently conduct oxidation reaction in a gas-liquid coexistence system of a liquid containing a reactant and a gas containing oxygen. <P>SOLUTION: In an oxidation reaction method, the gas containing the oxygen as an oxidizing agent is passed together with the liquid containing the reactant and a homogeneous catalyst through a micro-tubular reactor having an inner diameter of 10-2,000 μm as an equivalent diameter, so that the reactant is oxidized. A ratio of a surface area of a gas-liquid phase to a volume of the inside of the reactor is greatly increased by using the micro-tubular reactor, so that a gas-liquid interfacial area is increased. Therefore, a dissolving rate of the oxygen in the liquid phase and an oxidation reaction rate are increased and, simultaneously, efficiency of heat exchange is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
