<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card verification method and device for preventing the unauthorized use of a card due to robbery or forgery, and for surely performing personal identification. <P>SOLUTION: This card verification method is characterized to decide whether or not the user of a card is a valid user based on a relation between the password of the card owned by the user and the location information of a portable terminal owned by the user in order to perform card verification.
