PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide crosslinked biodegradable particles having mechanical elasticity, applicable to an embolizing material capable of passing through a catheter having a small diameter, restoring the shape to original shape after passage, closing the interior of the blood vessel and used for blockage of bloodstream and finally degraded in the living body, capable of metabolizing the degraded component or discharging the component to the outside of the body and not remaining in the body. SOLUTION: The crosslinked polymer particles are obtained by chemically crosslinking a water-soluble synthetic polymer, particularly polyethylene glycol to a biodegradable polymer.
