PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skew corrective device capable of performing the skew correction of the side registration reference in an image forming device having a conveying device on the sheet center reference. SOLUTION: The skew corrective device comprises a first conveying guide to support a side edge part of a sheet, a second conveying guide to support the other side edge part of the sheet, a positioning means to move the first conveying guide, second rotary roller pairs arranged on the downstream side of the first and second conveying guides, a slide means to move the second rotary roller pairs, and a sheet detection means in a vicinity of the second rotary roller pairs, and further comprises a butting part to butt the side edge part of the sheet, first rotary roller pairs with the sheet butted thereto, and an attaching/detaching means of the first rotary roller pairs. When the sheet is conveyed, the positioning means moves the first conveying guide, the sheet is conveyed while the sheet is butted to and matched with by the first rotary roller pairs. After the sheet is detected, the first rotary roller pairs are separated from each other, and the second rotary roller pairs are moved by the predetermined distance by a slide means.
