PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly discharge lawn grass even without largely inclining a grass collecting box 22 in a traveling type lawn mower, with which a traveling machine body 1 equipped with a mower apparatus is furnished with the grass collecting box 22 for holding lawn grass reaped by the mower apparatus so that the grass collecting box is changed from a grass collecting posture to receive reaped lawn grass to a discharge posture to discharge the accumulated lawn grass. SOLUTION: A raking out member 70 projecting toward the inside of the grass collecting box 22 in a grass collecting posture is fastened to the traveling machine body 1 so that the raking out member does not interfere with the grass collecting box 22 and is relatively moved in the direction of the receiving opening 22a of the grass collecting box as the grass collecting box 22 is changed to a discharging posture.
