<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method effectively removing deposited carbon, and a system for the same, for applying a vapor reformation method or a partial combustion reforming method for the reformation of raw fuel to be supplied to an SOFC stack. <P>SOLUTION: The deposited carbon removing method for the reformer of hydrocarbon group fuel jointed to a solid oxide fuel cell traps the carbon generated by a non-steady reaction at the fuel reformer by a carbon removing system having a heating system arranged at latter part of the fuel reformer; and the carbon trapped at the carbon removing system is oxidized and removed (1) by heating the carbon removing system by the heating system while supplying oxidant gas, or (2) by heating the carbon removing system by the heating system after supplying oxidant gas, or (3) by supplying oxidant gas after heating the carbon removing system by the heating system, when the operation of the fuel cell is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
