PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing tool capable of applying pressing force uniformly and of preventing wrinkle from being formed at an opening area. SOLUTION: The pressing tool is used for pressing a tube joint 6 into which the end of a workpiece, especially a tube, is inserted. The pressing tool is provided with at least two pressing jaws 2, 3 being combined with each other with a hinge and surrounding the workpiece. At least one hinge pin 4 is disposed at the opposite side of an opening area 5 between pressing jaws 2, 3. A pressing factor 8 is disposed adjacently to at least one hinge pin 4 and can be moved to the workpiece 6 while pressing jaws 2, 3 are closed. When the pressing jaws 2, 3 are closed, the workpiece 6 is at first pushed in the direction of the hinge pin 4 and, in the next stage, pressing force is applied to a pressing flat area between the opening area 5 and the hinge pin 4.
