PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL (electroluminescent) element material comprising a metal complex having a specific ligand, to provide an organic EL element using the element material, exhibiting high luminous efficiency and having long luminescent life and to provide an illuminating apparatus and a display device.
