PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky rice transplanter capable of readily carrying out handling of an operation lever around a driving sheet without worsening front field of vision even when the transplanter is a small-sized machine planting into fewer rows. SOLUTION: In this sulky rice transplanter in which a seedling-transplanting apparatus 6 is connected to the rear of a traveling machine body 3 equipped with a driving sheet 9, side preliminary seedling storage parts 31 are installed in right and left places of the traveling machine body 3 and a central preliminary seedling storage part 32 is installed in the lateral center place behind the driving sheet 9, and each side preliminary seedling storage part 31 is provided with a preliminary seedling placing table 34 capable of changing over to a seedling storage posture for placing and supporting preliminary seedlings F and a storage posture upwardly raised and swung, and the central preliminary seedling storage part 32 is constituted so as to store the preliminary seedlings F in a standing posture.
