PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of giving notification by providing visual effects full of variation on the whole or in a wide range of a display screen when an event takes place. SOLUTION: The game machine comprises a display part for displaying images on the game display screen, a storage part for storing a plurality of kinds of element data as elements of image data, an image signal generating part for reading necessary element data from the storage part, composing image signals and outputting the image signals, a visual effect signal generating part for outputting visual effect signals for providing a specific visual effect at prescribed timing, and a display signal output part for outputting the image signals inputted from the image signal generating part and outputting the visual effect signals inputted from the visual effect signal generating part at prescribed timing. The display part displays an image on the game display screen based on the image signals and the visual effect signals when the visual effect signals are inputted from the display signal output part at prescribed timing.
