PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval device enabling to easily obtain adequate search results by executing search processes by a plurality of search engines. SOLUTION: A query analyzer 12 analyses a query input by a user and extracts a keyword for searching KW (i) which is suitable for search characteristics of the search engines SE (i) (I=1, 2,..., n) which are output destinations. A group of the search engines 10 consists of search engines with different search characteristics, therefore, the search keyword KW (i) output from the query analyzer 12 vary depending on the search characteristics of the search engines SE (i) in the output destinations.
