The measuring insert is arranged to be connected to a terminal housing. It has a measurement chamber cover (5) and a channel ring (6) which define the measurement chamber (8). Vanes (7) are provided in the chamber. A flow channel runs around the outside of the chamber. At least one, preferably several inlet channels connect the flow channel to the chamber. The device also has an outlet channel and a regulator for regulating measurement errors. The regulation behavior of the regulator can be changed by changing the angular position between the channel ring and the chamber cover. The regulator has at least one, preferably several, openings (12). The degree of flow through these openings is variable by varying the angular position of the channel ring relative to the chamber cover. Independent claims also cover a fluid meter having such an insert.
