<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring/calculating system for improving power factor in a transformation facility in which optimal design of facility can be realized by measuring data under actual operating state of apparatus at the time of designing an improved facility for bringing the effective power factor of a power line close to 1 under heavy load while suppressing harmonics contained in the power line. <P>SOLUTION: Capacity of a power factor improving capacitor is calculated based on measurement data and data after installation is measured thus obtaining the characteristic data of a transformer under operating conditions. When the load is varied after installation and power factor is improved again, accurate calculation can be carried out based on achievement data and an optimal capacity of capacitor is determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
