<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile headlight whereby light which is not captured by a first reflecting surface is collected by a third reflecting surface to irradiate it in an irradiation direction through a light guide path, and the utilization factor of light flux with respect to a light source is enhanced to have extremely excellent improvement of brighter performance even if the same one light source is used. <P>SOLUTION: In this automobile headlight 1, the light guide path reaching the back surface side of the paraboloid based first reflecting surface 3 on which the light source 2 is disposed at its focus position in its horizontal direction is provided, a paraboloid based second reflecting surface 5 having the exit 4b of each light guide path 4 as its focus point is provided on the right and left of the outside of the first reflecting surface 3, a pair of elliptical third reflecting surfaces 6 having the light source 2 as their first focus point and the entrance 4a of the light guide path 4 as their second focus point are provided in the vicinity of the optical axis of the first reflecting surface 3, and a lens 7 is provided in front of these reflecting surfaces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
