摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the noise at the time to fully open a downstream throttle valve 9, after a particulate material accumulated in a diesel particulate filter 81 is oxidized, removed and then reproduced by closing the downstream throttle valve 9 in a diesel engine equipped the downstream valve 9. <P>SOLUTION: In an exhaust gas system of the engine having a throttle valve such as an exhaust brake valve 16, etc., the diesel particulate filter 81 and a catalyst 82 upstream thereof are equipped, and the downstream throttle valve 9 is installed downstream. The engine is operated when the opening of the downstream throttle valve 9 is small, and when the diesel particulate filter 81 is regenerated, the downstream throttle valve is returned to fully open at the time the operation is finished after the exhaust brake valve 16 is previously closed.
