PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system for providing much more types of pieces of information than information to be provided only by an electronic watermark image. SOLUTION: The server 20 of an information providing server 2 receives electronic watermark image data with electronic watermark information inserted therein obtained from a printed matter by the photographing of the printed matter by client equipment 1 and identification ID simultaneously transmitted with the electronic watermark image data. An electronic watermark analyzing device 23 extracts the electronic watermark information from the received electronic watermark image data, and the server 20 uniquely determines information to be provided from the electronic watermark information extracted by the electronic watermark analyzing device 23 and the received identification ID, and transmits the uniquely determined information to the client equipment 1.
