PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent disadvantage of electric short due to entering of conductive foreign matter to the interior of a yoke 3 through a terminal window 6 of the yoke 3 to keep the function normal over a long period of time in a solenoid valve used in an environment where hydraulic fluid is splashed or it is soaked in oil. SOLUTION: This solenoid valve includes: a yoke 3 provided with a slit-like terminal window 6 at an end wall 31; an electromagnetic coil having a plate-like terminal 7, the base 71 of which is covered with an insulating sleeve 72 and which is bent substantially L-shaped. The cover 80 is constructed by a passing gap 8C for the plate-like terminal 7 bent downward to be substantially L-shaped, a main cover 8 having a missing part 88 on the lower rear side; and a sub-cover 9 joined to the missing part 88, having an insert part 92 at the lower surface for blocking up left and right side windows 62, 63 of the terminal window 6 and an outer fit void at the central part to be fitted to the insulating sleeve 72, and blocking up a center window 61 of the terminal window 6 with the lower surface of the central part.
