METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR PLANT TRANSFORMATION

摘要

Methods and compositions increase transformation efficiency in plants. Two classes of plant proteins interact with VirB2 protein-VirB2 Interacting proteins (BTI) and the GTPase AtRAB8. Anti-sense (A/S), RNA interference (RNAi), T-DNA mutagenesis experiments and transgenic expression demonstrated that BTI and AtRAB8 proteins are involved in early stages of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation and when over-expressed, increase the transformation efficiency of host plants.
