<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge capable of securely covering an electrophotographic photosensitive drum with a first shutter portion and a second shutter portion, and to provide an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The process cartridge includes a drum shutter 70 movable between a close position in which the drum shutter covers an exposed portion of the electrophotographic photosensitive drum which is exposed through a cartridge frame and an open position in which the drum shutter is retracted from the close position to expose the exposed portion of the electrophotographic photosensitive drum, the drum shutter 70 having the first shutter portion 71 rotatably supported on the cartridge frame and the second shutter portion 72 rotatably supported on the cartridge frame. In the close position, the first shutter portion 71 covers an upstream side of the exposed portion with respect to an opening direction in which the drum shutter 70 moves from the close position to the open position, and the second shutter portion 72 covers a downstream side of the exposed position with respect to the opening direction.
