<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having an inrush current prevention circuit capable of preventing an inrush current, which occurs when an interlock switch is closed, without using other control means and capable of quickly making power supply constant. <P>SOLUTION: The inrush current prevention circuit (10) includes: a current limiting section (11) for limiting a current flowing from an interlock switch (20) to a load (40); a current detecting section (12) for detecting the current; an inrush current decision section (13) for deciding whether the inrush current exceeds a prescribed value or not. The result of the decision of the inrush current decision section (13) is transmitted to the current limiting section (11).
