<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor provided with a hibernation state which can be restored from the hibernation state more quickly and surely than a conventional processor, a starting method thereof, and a starting program thereof. <P>SOLUTION: With respect to the information processor, the staring method thereof, and the starting program thereof, a request for transition to the hibernation state is accepted, and information required for restoration to an arbitrary operation state at the time of accepting the request is stored in a non-volatile restoration information storage means, and the operation state is shifted to the hibernation state and a power source is turned off. When the power source is turned on to start the information processor, it is determined whether a start factor is restoration from the hibernation state or not, and the information processor is restored to the arbitrary operation state on the basis of information stored in the restoration information storage means in the case that it is determined that the start factor is restoration from the hibernation state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
