<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cost and to enhance the machinability by condensing two laser beams of different wavelengths at a substantially same position without using any achromatic lens for a condensing lens, or individually condensing two laser beams at arbitrary positions. <P>SOLUTION: A laser beam welding equipment comprises one laser beam oscillator 10, a laser beam power supply unit 12 to electrically drive the laser beam oscillator 10, a two-wavelength superposing type laser beam emission unit 14 arranged at a desired machining place, and an optical fiber transmission system 16 capable of individually transmitting laser beams (light beams) of the fundamental wavelength and the second higher harmonic generated by the laser beam oscillator 10 to the emission unit 14. The emission unit 14 can arbitrarily adjust the position at which the light beams LB of the fundamental wave are condensed in a built-in condensing lens and the position at which the light beam SHG of the second higher harmonic is condensed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
