<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas treatment device which flocculates particulates floating in the air to make them large or collects dust by using the principle of corona discharge and is usable as an exhausted gas purification device mountable on a vehicle, excellent in performance, low in pressure loss and miniaturizable. <P>SOLUTION: The gas treatment device 1 is provided with a corona electrode 10 and a dust-collecting electrode 20 opposite to the corona electrode 10. The device applies a high voltage between the corona electrode 10 and the dust-collecting electrode 20 to form corona discharge in a gas G passing through between the corona electrode 10 and the dust-collecting electrode 20 and flocculates components in the gas G or collects the dust. In the gas treatment device 1, a turbulent flow promotion means 23, which promotes the turbulent flow of the gas G in the vicinity of the counter surface 20f opposite to the corona electrode 10 of the dust-collecting electrode 20, is provided on or in the vicinity of the counter surface 20f. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
