PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an evaluation apparatus which can be carried and can display a testing photocatalytic coating film or a photocatalyst-containing material rapidly at any place so that a consumer can easily understand intuitively. SOLUTION: A lid part of a portable box-type case composed of a storage part and the lid part is opened by almost 90°and a light source is held by an arm part extended from the lid part or from a side wall of the storage part. The antiflouling effect of the the photocatalytic coating film is confirmed visually by irradiating a plate prepared by forming the photocatalytic coating film and applying ink onto the formed photocatalytic coating film and an ink-applied plate, which are placed horizontally side by side in the upper part of the storage part, with the light from the light source or by placing a photocatalytic coating film-formed small piece on the plate prepared by forming the photocatalytic coating film and applying ink onto the formed photocatalytic coating film and irradiating the small piece-placed plate with the light from the light source.
