PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving device capable of receiving, for example, a desired TV broadcast network, which cancels directions about switching to a TV broadcast network without performing the directions if the TV broadcast network has been determined to be unreceivable. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiving device 21 capable of receiving a desired TV broadcast network by switching and selecting from among a plurality of different TV broadcast networks comprises: determining means 14 and 10 which determine possibility of receiving the TV broadcast networks for each TV broadcast network; and a canceling means 14 which cancels the directions about switching to the TV broadcast network determined to be unreceivable by the determining means 14 and 10.
