PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update a common setting information at an early stage and without special operations in an apparatus which can not communicate with other apparatuses when commonly setting information of a telephone system is updated. SOLUTION: Child telephone sets 220, 240 and 250 can communicate with a master telephone set 100 in the telephone system; but when the slave telephone sets 210 and 230 can not communicate with the master telephone set 100 and if the child telephone set 260 of a sixth slave telephone set is added, the common setting information is updated in the slave telephone sets 220, 240, 250 and 260 after the common setting information is updated in the master telephone set 100. Then, once each of the slave telephone sets 210 and 230 can communicate with the master telephone set 100 and/or the slave telephone sets 220, 240, 250 and 260; the common setting information is received as updated later than one stored in the own telephone set, because the common setting information is sent and received at communication between the master telephone set and the slave telephone set, or between the slave telephone set and the slave telephone set, too.
