PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile apparatus that makes it easy for a reception-side user to know the relation between initial transmission in which an error occurs and retransmission of pages succeeding the error occurrence. SOLUTION: The facsimile equipment (1) includes a transmission information storage part (18) which stores information regarding transmission of an image, and stores the total number of pages of images and the page number of a page where an error occurs if the error occurs during transmission. In normal transmission, a serial number starting with one and the total number of pages are added to a page to be transmitted. In retransmission succeeding the error occurrence, only the page where the error occurred and succeeding pages are transmitted and page numbers added to the pages to be sent starting with the page number of the page where the error occurred in the initial transmission.
