PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein a liquid crystal display using the conventional OCB (optically compensated bend) mode displays luminance different from actually desired luminance, when the temperature changes. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is equipped with a liquid crystal display panel 2 which has source signal lines and gate signal lines arranged in a matrix and has liquid crystal display elements, using an OCB mode liquid crystal disposed on the intersections of the source signal lines and the gate signal lines; a gate driver 3 which supplies gate signals to the gate signal lines; a source driver 4 which supplies source signals to the source signal lines; a temperature-detecting means 7 which detects temperature; and a correction means 6 which corrects the display data to generate source signals into display data, according to the detected temperature, wherein the source signals are generated on the basis of the corrected display data.
