PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terrestrial telescope capable of easily catching a target into the viewing field in a lens barrel maintube. SOLUTION: Regarding the terrestrial telescope 10, a cam cylinder 14 is freely rotatably arranged in the lens barrel 11, a guiding cylinder 15 is arranged in the cam cylinder 14, a moving objective lens 17 and a moving eyepiece 21 are arranged in the guiding cylinder 15 so that they can freely move in a direction of an optical axis 29, and by rotating the cam cylinder 14, the lens 17 and the eyepiece 21 are moved in the direction of the optical axis 29 so as to adjust the magnification. In the terrestrial telescope 10, a reticle 19a which is made movable in the optical axis 29 direction in accordance with the operation of rotating the cam cylinder 14 is arranged in a space between the lens 17 and the eyepiece 21, and in the case of adjusting the magnification, the reticle 19a is moved so as to be set in the eyepiece focal position.
