PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cycle fatigue test method and its tester, for performing a fatigue test by letting alone a body under test at temperature set in consideration for yield-stress temperature dependence the body has and shortening the period of the test. SOLUTION: This cycle fatigue test method is equipped with a load generating means equipped with a pressing part 5a for repetitively giving displacement to the body 3 under test, a temperature control means for keeping the body 3 at a prescribed temperature together with the generating means, a detection means for detecting the state change amount of the body 3 changing according to the amount of load imposed on the body 3, and a control means for stopping the generating means based on a detection signal from the detection means.
