PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint capable of maintaining a durability of a clamping portion by surely fixing a pulling-out resisting ring and stabilizing oscillating and pivoting torque and mounting a large opening of a boot at a designated position. SOLUTION: The ball joint comprises a bearing surrounding a ball stud having a ball-head portion and a handle portion extending from the ball-head portion and a bearing surrounding the ball-head portion, a housing having an opening retaining the bearing and extending the handle portion to one end, the pulling-out resisting ring which is arranged on an inner periphery of the opening of the housing and has a peripheral standing wall portion on its outer periphery and has a flange continuing to the standing wall portion and extending to the outer periphery side, and a boot having the small opening of a boot mounted on the outer periphery of the handle portion of the ball stud and the large opening of a boot mounted on the outer periphery of the standing wall portion of the pulling-out resisting ring. Further, a clamping portion fixing the flange of the pulling-out resisting ring is formed by clamping the opening of the housing in the ball joint. A recessed circumferential groove is arranged on the outer periphery of the pulling-out resisting ring, and a clamping portion of the housing is extended on the recessed circumferential groove.
