PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canned motor pump retaining a stator, not easily generating core loss, not dropping motor efficiency, and not dropping retention force even in high temperature atmosphere. SOLUTION: The canned motor pump 10 is constructed to form a housing part of the stator between the motor housing 12 and the can 44. A terminal holder and a motor housing are adhered to fix the stator on the motor housing under a condition where an iron core 60 of the stator and an outer circumference surface of the terminal holder 62 are slightly separated from an inner circumference surface of the motor housing, the iron core and the inner circumference surface of the terminal holder are slightly separated from an outer circumference surface of the can, and an end surface of the iron core in an axial direction is abutted on a bottom wall 45 of the can. Pressure does not act on the stator due to retention of the stator to the motor housing and the can, and core loss is not easily generated. Even if difference of linear expansion coefficients between metal (iron core) and resin (motor housing and can) exists, retention force of the stator to the motor housing and the can does not easily drop.
