The present invention provides new anchored lock systems wherein the locking device (e.g., a padlock) can be rapidly detached from its anchor. The systems comprise an anchor for attachment to a structure such as a wall, portable panel, etc., or a structure a portion of which has been adapted to detachable engage the locking device. The anchor can be mounted in any desired location on a structure, and is configured such that it can be engaged by the lock body of a locking device that comprises at least two locking functionalities: releasable engagement of the anchor to prevent the locking device from being removed from the anchor when engaged by the lock; and releasable engagement of a shackle for retention of an article to be secured. |
