RECORDED MEDIUM FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE PROVIDED WITH IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely feed paper sheets P till the last paper sheet when the paper sheet P is loaded by letting a recording face face downward and is recorded by ink jet on the recording face facing upward through a U turn path while special surface processing is applied on one face (recording face) of the paper sheet P and the paper sheet is in a loading condition in which the face on which special surface processing is applied faces a surface of a base pad 79 and adheres to it closely and easily.

SOLUTION: The base pad 79 having high coefficient of friction on a base spring 83 like a cantilever beam whose basic part is fixed on a lower face of a bottom plate 3b of a paper feeding cassette faces upward from a through hole 82. On the other hand, a base plate 80 having low coefficient of friction is fixed to an upper face of the bottom plate 3b on both sides of the through hole 82. A condition in which the surface of the base pad 79 protrudes from a surface of the base plate 80 and a condition in which the surface of the base pad 79 does not protrude from the surface of the base plate 80 can be selected depending on large or small pressing force of a paper feeding roller 6b.
