<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to turn on/off or to reset the power of the personal computer (PC) of a remote place by operating the power supply of a computer according to the voice guidance message of a telephone terminal connected to a public line network. <P>SOLUTION: When a CPU 50 determines that a ring tone corresponding to transmission of a telephone 10 set for remote control operation has arrived predetermined times, and originator identification information is that registered in a data storage unit 46, a communication loop is formed between the telephone set 10 and the PC 20. After that, a voice guidance message for password input is transmitted from a voice generating unit 48 to the telephone set 10. Then, when a password inputted from the telephone set 10 coincides with a password registered in the unit 46, the telephone set 10 is operated in accordance with the voice guidance message transmitted from the unit 48 to the telephone set 10 to control the power supply of the PC main body 20 in a on state, off state, or reset state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
