<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forecast a condition of a light ray in an area where an object moves next and processing an image of the object constantly in appropriate brightness even when the object moves in the area where conditions of the light rays are different from part to part. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring image of a camera is divided into blocks in advance depending on intensity of the light ray, and a monitoring area is photographed by the camera. When intrusion of the object in the monitoring area is detected, luminance control areas S0, S1, S2 are set for the intruding object. When the luminance control areas S0, S1, S2 move between the blocks, the luminance is adjusted to reduce the luminance of a screen in the block with stronger light rays and to increase the luminance of the screen in the block with weaker light rays depending on the intensity of the light rays in the block where the object moves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
