PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the press moldability of a general medium/high carbon steel sheet. SOLUTION: A film comprising a resin, which is a urethane resin having a carboxyl group in its molecule and characterized in that the acid value thereof is 40-90 and the content of a urethane bond is 12-20 wt.% in terms of an isocyanate group (NCO), is formed on the surface of a steel sheet with a C content of 0.1-0.9 mass% in a thickness of 0.2-10μm to manufacture the medium/high carbon steel sheet excellent in press moldability and mold life.
