PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system with a calibration method of output of an acceleration sensor easily compensating output of an acceleration. SOLUTION: The state where a vehicle advances on a flat road at a constant vehicle speed is detected with outputs of a vehicle speed sensor 22, an engine ECU 23, a brake sensor 24 and a rudder angle sensor 26. An output value of the acceleration sensor in the state where the vehicle advances on the flat road at the constant vehicle speed is stored as calibration data. Acceleration data are compensated on the basis of the stored calibration data. The position of an own vehicle is displayed on the navigation system on the basis of the result by detecting the fluctuation of a difference of elevation by a change ratio or a change amount of the output of the acceleration sensor of the compensated acceleration data.
