[Class 136 (i)] Manually operable means actuating a Bowden cable comprise a hand lever b which has freedom of angular and linear movement at its pivotal connection with a body part a and is securable in a plurality of different positions by engagement of the lever with a stepped slot r in the body part. The parts a, b are formed of folded metal sheets. As shown in Fig. 1, the lever b is pivotally attached to the body part a by a pin e passing through a slot f in the body part. On the pin e is pivoted a member g carryan abutment h for the cable sheath i. A link n is pivoted to the lever b by means of a pin m passing through the stepped slot r in the body part. The link n has a roller o which runs along the folded edge of the body part a. The cable core q is attached to a swivel piece p in the link n. In a modification shown in Fig. 3, the pin e moves in a slot f provided in the lever b. The cable core q is secured by a part t to the body part a and the sheath i is supported by an abutment h slidably supported on the body part by a swivel piece u. |
