<p>A sample analyzing tool which is simple in construction and capable of blood-cell separating high-hematocrit blood with a high separation yield. The sample analyzing tool of the invention includes a blood cell separation layer including a horizontal filtration type filter. For example, a reagent layer (17) is formed on a base plate (11), and the blood cell separation layer is laminated to the reagent layer (17). Part or all of the surface of the upper portion of the blood cell separation layer is a blood sample supply section, and part or all of the surface of the lower portion of the reagent layer (17) is a measuring section. The blood sample supplied from the supply section is separated into blood cells and blood plasma by the blood cell separation layer. The plasma is led into the reagent layer (17) and is measured for its components in the measuring section. In the thus-constructed sample analyzing tool (1), the blood cell separation layer includes a horizontal filtration type filter (13a). The blood sample led into the horizontal filtration type filter (13a) is subjected to blood cell separation when moving horizontally.</p> |
