REACTION CYLINDER FOR AND REACTION PLATE FOR MANUFACTURING HYDROGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a reaction cylinder and a reaction plate each for use in an apparatus for manufacturing a hydrogen as is capable of solving that deterioration of a hydrogen permeability performance in a hydrogen permeable membrane which is caused by the interdiffusion of the components between a modified catalyst-cum-supporter material and the hydrogen-permeable membrane.

SOLUTION: The reaction cylinder for use in an apparatus for manufacturing a hydrogen, comprising a cylindrical reforming catalyst-cum-supporter material and the hydrogen-permeable membrane arranged on the external circumferential surface of or the internal circumferential surface of the above reforming catalyst-cum-supporter material, is provided between the external circumferential surface of or the internal circumferential surface of the cylindrical reforming catalyst-cum-supporter material and the hydrogen-permeable membrane with a barrier layer for preventing the interdiffusion between the supporter component and the hydrogen-permeable membrane. Similarly, the reaction plate for use in an apparatus for manufacturing a hydrogen by using a plate-formed reforming catalyst-cum-supporter material, is also provided between this and the hydrogen-permeable membrane with a barrier layer for preventing the interdiffusion between the supporter component and the hydrogen-permeable membrane.
