<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyarylene-based polymer exhibiting excellent performance as a proton-conductive membrane for a solid polymer type fuel cell, etc. <P>SOLUTION: [1] The polyarylene-based polymer containing a superacid group has a main chain structure substantially composed of a polyarylene and contains a superacid group on the side chain.
