<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyarylene-based polymer exhibiting excellent performance as a proton-conductive membrane for a solid polymer type fuel cell, etc. <P>SOLUTION: [1] The polyarylene-based polymer containing a superacid group has a main chain structure substantially composed of a polyarylene and contains a superacid group on the side chain. [2] The polymer [1] comprises a polyarylene consisting of a repeating structure represented by general formula (1a) and/or a repeating structure represented by general formula (1b) (Z and Z' are each a group selected from -O-, -CO-, -S-, -SO-, -SO<SB>2</SB>-, an alkylene group, an alkyleneoxy group and an alkylenedioxy group; R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>6</SP>are each a superacid group, a fluorine atom, a sulfonic acid group, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group, an aryl oxy group and an aralkyl group). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
