<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, in which the prevention of contamination of a batch detection sensor with a toner and the assurance of the air flow performance of a post electrostatic charging device are made compatible with each other. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus for forming an image, by developing a toner image by means of a development unit on a rotating photoreceptor drum has a post charger 21 for selectively controlling the amount of toner charge of a toner image on a photoreceptor drum 1, and a batch detection sensor 22, arranged nearer to the downstream side in the rotating direction of the photoreceptor drum 1 than the post charger 21, and is provided with an air-flow route within the positive charger 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
