<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillator circuit which improves the effect of reducing the phase noise, and a phase locked loop having the same. <P>SOLUTION: A frequency multiplier 24 multiplies the frequency of an oscillation signal from a VCO 12 to increase the phase noise component of the oscillation signal. An FM demodulator 26 detects the oscillation signal with the increased phase noise component to output a signal showing the phase noise component. This raises the detection output of the FM demodulator 26 enough to detect a phase noise component at a lower level by the FM demodulator 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
