<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet receiving method and a packet receiving device 100 that convert received speech packets into a speech, optimum received packet buffer control being performed to secure stably sound quality in an environment wherein jitters and clock deviation between transmitting/receiving devices are both generated. <P>SOLUTION: A received packet buffer 10 temporarily stores received speech packets, and a plurality of parameter information monitor parts 14 to 16 determine different buffer adjustment values 61 to 63 for determining a buffer quantity of the received packet buffer 10 on the basis of one or more pieces of parameter information 60 obtained from the temporarily stored speech packets 50; and a buffer adjustment value determination part 17 determines a receiving buffer adjustment value 64 from the plurality of buffer adjustment values 61 to 63, and a buffer control part 11 controls the buffer quantity based upon the receiving buffer adjustment value 64. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
