<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode substrate for an electron emitting element, capable of improving color purity of a screen by focusing electrons emitted from an electron emitting part, interrupting influence of an electron accelerating electrode voltage to the electron emitting part, and enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and to provide an electron emitting element equipped with it, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This cathode substrate for the electron emitting element has at least one driving electrode 10 to control electron emission from an electron emitting part 12 formed on the substrate, and it is provided with a first insulating layer 8 on the surface of which at least one driving electrode 10 is formed, a focusing electrode 18 to focus electrons emitted from the electron emitting part 12, and a second insulating layer 16 positioned between at least one driving electrode 10 and the focusing electrode 18, and the first insulating layer 8 and the second insulating layer 16 are made of different substances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
